Meelon is a small townsite in the Peel region of WA and is located between Pinjarra and Dwellingup. It was originally established as a saw-milling site by the local timber industry in the 1900s. Following the decline of the industry in the 1950s, Meelon all but disappeared, and today primarily consists of medium-acreage farms which are dependent on Pinjarra for services.
Pinjarra is a historic town located in the Peel region of Western Australia. 86 kilometres from Perth and 21 kilometres Mandurah. The Murray River flows through Dwellingup, through the heritage town of Pinjarra, Ravenswood and Yunderup and into the Harvey/Peel Estuary. South Yunderup is located within a scenic network of canals at the mouth of the Murray River. Launch your boat via the local boat ramps, access to the estuary or head into Mandurah to one of the many restaurants, cafes and bars accessible by water.
